Tomorrow adds "barcode search function" that is convenient for registering commercial foods

asken has started the "#Asken Usability Improvement Project" (hereinafter referred to as "#Asken Usability Improvement Project") to further improve the usability of the AI meal management application "Asken". As the first step, we added two new features.

あすけん、市販食品の登録に便利な「バーコード検索機能」を追加

Asken is a meal management app that allows you to receive advice from an AI nutritionist when you record your meals. On July 28, 2021, when the number of domestic members exceeded 6 million, we started a project aiming for a service that is easier to use.

In the first installment, two points will be added: a "commercial food barcode search function" that simplifies the registration of commercial foods, and a "simple menu request function" that allows smooth addition requests for unregistered commercial foods.

With the commercial food barcode search function, you can search for commercial foods in Asken's menu database simply by scanning the barcode (JAN code) of the commercial food with a camera. Compared to the conventional search by entering the product or brand name, the menu search can be performed more easily.

With the simple menu request function, if the commercial food you want to register as a meal is not in the menu database of Asuken, you can request data addition to Asuken simply by scanning the barcode or nutritional ingredient list of the product with a camera. Utilizing the OCR function, characters such as energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrate are automatically read and displayed from the image of the nutrition composition table taken by the camera.
