The Huawei P50 Pocket will be released in China, but is not expected to be sold in the United States due to sanctions. A Premium Edition of the device appeared in fashion magazine Bazaar earlier this month, and this special version was created by Dutch designer Iris van Herpen. It comes in a gold or silver finish and features a 3D pattern on the exterior surface that looks like feathers or leaves. The P50 Pocket opens to a 6.9-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The device weighs 190 grams and is only 7.2 millimeters thick (iPhone13 Pro Max is 238 grams and 7.65 millimeters thick). Inside is a Qualcomm Spandragon 888 4G system-on-chip, a 4,000mAh battery, and Huawei's Harmony OS 2.

The P50 Pocket's rear camera consists of a 40-megapixel main lens, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel "superspectrum" lens. There's also a punch-hole camera built into the display, but the design of the device makes it easier to take selfies with the main camera. This is because you can use the viewfinder with a 1 inch cover screen. The P50 Pocket is priced at CNY 8,988 (about 161,300 yen) for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage model and for CNY 10,988 (about 197,200 yen) for the 12GB RAM/512GB storage model.
