Anker Japan has released the quick charger "Anker PowerPort III 2-Port 65W" which has two USB Type-C ports and adopts the original technology "Anker GaN II". The price is 5,490 yen.
"Anker GaN II" renews the power supply IC and circuit design to further draw out the power of GaN (gallium nitride) semiconductors. It was first adopted in the existing "Anker Nano II" series, and in response to the user's request "I want a product with multiple ports", we have newly added a lineup of quick chargers equipped with two USB-C ports.
The total maximum output is 65W, and when using 2 ports, it can output up to 45W and up to 20W from each port, and it is said that a notebook PC and a smartphone can be quickly charged with one charger at the same time.
Both USB-C ports are compatible with "Power IQ 3.0 (Gen2)", which is more compatible with USB Power Delivery (USB PD). In addition, it also supports PPS (Programmable Power Supply), which is an extension of USB PD, and can quickly charge PPS-compatible smartphones such as the Galaxy S21 series.
Approximately 50% more compact than a general charger with 60W output or more. A foldable plug has been adopted to improve portability. The main body size is about 54 x 53 x 29 mm, and the weight is about 136 g.
