As a wireless LAN router supporting Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE802.11ac), the NEC platform released four advanced models "Aterm WG2600HP4", "Aterm WG1200HP4" and standard models "Aterm WG2600HS2" and "Aterm WG1200HS4". It will go on sale on October 8th.
These models all support Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac). For wireless LAN, the maximum communication speed of "Aterm WG2600HP4" and "Aterm WG2600HS2" is 1733 Mbps (5 GHz) / 800 Mbps (2.4 GHz), "Aterm WG1200HP4" and "Aterm WG1200HS4" are 867 Mbps (5 GHz) / 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz).
In terms of security, support for new Wi-Fi encryption "WPA3" or "automatic upgrade (time specified)" for automatic firmware updates.
Advanced model "Aterm WG2600HP4"Aterm WG1200HP4"
"Aterm WG2600HP4" and "Aterm WG1200HP4" are characterized by a "mesh relay function", which is a combination of the mother machine and the repeater to build a network in the shape of a mesh (mesh) to expand the communication area.
In "Aterm WG2600HP4", the "broadband antenna PLUS" is used to enhance the performance of the antenna.
